Good day, hello!

I’m Mischa Christen, a Swiss freelance photographer and Co-founder of BULB 6000.

I’m based in Lucerne (unfortunately a too beautiful town to leave for better) in the center of Switzerland, located 1 hour from Basel, Bern, Zurich, 3 hours from Milano and just 5 hours from Paris. I’m ready to get anywhere and collaborate with YOU!

I have been working freelance since 2005 for national and international clients such as Die Zeit, The New York Times, NZZ am Sonntag, Financial Times, Republik Magazin as well as for Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Lucerne Theatre and the most famous skier at present.

Participation in workshops by artists and photographers such as Erik Kessels, JH Engström, Antoine D'Agata, Michael Ackerman, Anders Petersen and Paolo Pellegrin. Student at the International Center of Photography in New York and participant in the Northern Lights Masterclass in Groningen NL.
Currently I’m a participant of the first KLASSE MAHLER (Ute Mahler & Werner Mahler) at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin.

Group exhibitions and screenings at the International Center of Photography New York, Photo Elysée Lausanne, Kunstmuseum Luzern and Haus am Kleistpark Berlin, among many others. My freelance work has been published in numerous print and online magazines and publications, including DER GREIF, YET Magazine, Photo RAW and SuchtMagazin.

My personal work deals with themes such as transience, identity and memory.
